a-changing," sang Bob Dylan. And they still are. How do
you keep an eternal perspective in an ever-changing world? Let's spend
some time with Dr. Bailey Stone and the Lord at our Spring Bible
Conference and see how we can be prepared for change. Dr. Stone, a
retired pastor who has served churches in Bryan
and Odessa,
now makes his home in Allen. He preached for us last fall at the
beginning of our interim.
We will begin each day
at 11:30 a.m. with lunch prepared by our 55+ team. After some
music, Dr. Stone will teach. A love offering will be taken for
lunch and for Dr. Stone. Everyone is welcome. We hope to see
you there.
Sunday,
March 7, 12:15 p.m.-2:15 p.m. The ESL Ministry is hosting a
luncheon and workshop in Room 204 on March 7 immediately following
the worship service. The workshop will be presented by Campus
Crusade for Christ staffers who are ministering on local university
campuses! Their mission is to see students won over to Christ,
built up for Him, and sent off to change their communities for
Christ. The title of the workshop is "Spring
Training". They will be equipping us with effective tools for
witnessing to our international students. It is open to anyone
interested in attending. Please R.S.V.P. to Patti Cable if you are
interested in lunch. Cost will be $5.00 for the lunch and
materials.
Student Fundraiser for Falls Creek
Sundays,
March 7 and March 14, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Bring your empty containers to
the church parking lot by the shed so our students can fill them with
mulch/compost for your spring flower beds. Donations are welcome.

Keeping In Touch Thursday

friends who reside in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
FUEL Registration
March 26-28 FUEL is a full
weekend of discipling our students in grades 6
through 12. They stay in host homes during the weekend, and
participate in Bible studies, music, and group activities at the
church.
Students, be sure to sign up for FUEL beginning
this Sunday! The cost is only $25 for the entire weekend.
Your friends can sign up, too, for $10 each. We will deduct $5 from
your cost for each friend you bring (with a maximum of $10 off).
Registration forms are in the StudentCenter and in the
worship center foyer.
55+ Homestead
Heritage
Saturday,
March 27, 9 a.m. Take a trip back in time as we
head for Homestead Heritage on the banks of the BrazosRiver right outside of Waco. There
will be blacksmiths, potters, millers, craftsmen, food, self-guided
walking tours, and hundreds of handcrafted gift items. Carpools will
leave from the church at 9:00 a.m. Don't forget your camera and
walking shoes!
New Church Directory
The new
church directory has been published and is on the table in the worship
center foyer. You may pick one up on Sunday morning. Please take
one per family.

MissionKids Project
MissionKids
will be collecting new and gently used blankets and sheets for the
Samaritan Inn. Please place them in the boxes by the East or West
doors of the EducationBuilding. We
will be doing this project throughout the month of March. Thank
you!
Easter Egg Hunt Donations
Our
annual Easter Egg Hunt is planned for Saturday, April 3, at 10:00
a.m. We are asking for donations of small, wrapped candy that will fit
inside plastic Easter eggs, and money for door prizes. Please place
your candy in the Easter baskets by the East or West doors of the EducationBuilding. If you would like
to donate money, please write "Easter Egg Hunt" on the
front of your offering envelope. Thank you!
Easter Lilies
We will
be decorating our worship center again this year with Easter
Lilies on Easter morning. If you would like to purchase one or
more in honor of or in memory of someone, order forms will be available
inside the Sunday morning bulletin. The Easter lilies
are $15 each. The deadline for ordering is Sunday, March
28. You may take your flowers home with you after the Easter
service on April 4.
